Life & Science Museum in Durham

What a FUN day! I've heard about this museum before, but we've never been. It was about 1 1/2 hours away, but boy was it worth it!

You walk into the indoor exploring section where there were a million things to do and play with. They had animals inside, owls, birds, alligators, woodchuck, fish, etc. They also had a play center for young children which was PERFECT for Valen.

Outside, they had tons of land and things to do. They had this sound garden place where they had recycled fire extinguishers, chimes, drums, cymbals, and all kinds of stuff and wooden sticks so the kids could go to town and be as loud as they wanted! It really sounded great!

Down the path a little, they had a 'farm yard' with goats, donkeys, turkeys, sheep, pigs, rabbits and a cow. They were SO vocal it was really cool to see Valen's surprised expression! They also have an awesome butterfly garden with tons of butterfly's just everywhere and some would land on you.

They also had a train and outdoor animals like bears, foxes and lemurs, but we didn't get to check that stuff out. It was getting pretty hot after two hours and the heat and teething do not mix with a one year old. But we will DEFINITELY be going back soon! Thanks Jarrod and Mom for such a fun day! Enjoy the pictures!

I love the video!! Not too much longer and we will have a little girlie munchkin walking around too. Watching Valen gets me more and more excited about having a girl! Love the new pictures, and I love the fact that you update so often. Can't wait to see you guys in person but the website does help us feel closer!

Love you,
